“The secret of good teaching is to regard the child’s intelligence as a fertile field in which seeds may be sown”

Deep caring and true education often grow directly out of practical experiences. Children learn though being active. Through fun and meaningful activity Coach Caroline will guide a learning adventure, developing life skills and confidence in each child.

With over 20 years experience as a remedial and Montessori teacher Coach Caroline has developed an engaging approach that simulates development and learning outside of a formal education setting removing the stress and pressure. Caroline is trained in the Montessori method and can facilitate the curriculum outcomes required for primary school children. Caroline works best with children studying foundation phase schooling (6 to 10 years old) tailoring programs to their needs. Caroline has particular skills and success with children with Down’s Syndrome, and anxiety and learning delays.

Every child has the potential to learn and grow but the large classes of the formal education system and the pressure to develop in a specific way may frustrate this potential. As a coach Caroline will remove your child’s barriers to learning, awaken their natural curiosity and secure learning outcomes. Through cooking, gardening and outdoor activity Caroline will not only promote valuable life skills but also advance reading, mathematics and motor skills.

Caroline is based on the KZN South Coast and is happy to travel for face to face sessions.

The Montessori Method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s. It's a specific child-centered method of education that involves child-led activities (referred to as “work”), classrooms with children of varying ages and teachers who encourage independence among their pupils.
